The **AI Background Removal** tool automatically removes the background from your product photos, leaving a clean transparent image. This is especially useful for [reposting with a different background](/docs/photo-modifications#reposting-with-a-different-background).

## Models

Two AI models are available for background removal:

| Model        | Cost per photo | Best for                                          |
| ------------ | -------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| **Standard** | 0.0004 €       | Most product photos — fast and affordable         |
| **Premium**  | 0.01 €         | Complex images where the Standard model struggles |

Start with the **Standard** model. If the results don't look right for your type of photos, switch to **Premium** for better accuracy.

## Where to Find It

Background removal is available from the photo editor on the Dotb dashboard (not in the extension):

- **New item form** — when creating a listing from the [Dotb form](/dashboard/vinted/items/new)
- **Saved items** — when editing an existing item from your [item list](/dashboard/vinted/items?sort=vinted_id.desc)
