Dotb’s Affiliate Program Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Agreement”) govern your participation in our affiliate program (the “Program”) and establish the terms and conditions of the Program. By participating in the Program, you agree to abide by these terms.

1. Self-referrals are not allowed

You are not permitted to sign up for Dotb through your own affiliate link. If we detect any self-referrals, your account will be permanently banned, and any commission earned will be forfeited.

2. Abuse or attempting to mislead

We do not tolerate attempts to abuse our affiliate system. Any attempt to mislead, manipulate, or defraud us or potential customers will result in your account being permanently banned. This includes:

  • Posting fake discounts to coupon-sharing websites.
  • Misrepresenting Dotb’s services.
  • Any other activity that violates our policies.

3. No search engine ads, Facebook ads, or other ads that compete with our marketing

You are not allowed to run:

  • Search engine ads (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.), especially on branded terms or domain names.
  • Facebook ads or social media ads that could cause confusion with our official marketing.
  • Any form of paid advertising that directly competes with our own promotional efforts.

We reserve the right to terminate your account if we detect any such activity.

4. No pretending to act on behalf of Dotb

You are not allowed to impersonate Dotb, its employees, or its representatives. This includes:

  • Posing as an official Dotb employee.
  • Claiming to offer customer support or official Dotb promotions.

Any violation will result in immediate removal from the Program.

5. No spamming or unsolicited promotions

Affiliates must not engage in spamming, including:

  • Sending unsolicited emails or messages.
  • Posting excessive or irrelevant promotional content on forums, social media, or other platforms.
  • Any other marketing method that violates anti-spam regulations.

Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate removal from the Program.

6. Commission rules

  • Commission rate: You earn 20% recurring commission on all eligible subscription payments for as long as the referred customer maintains their subscription.
  • Attribution model: We use a first-click attribution model. The affiliate who first referred the customer receives the commission, even if the customer clicks on other affiliate links before subscribing.
  • Tracking duration: The affiliate tracking cookie lasts 15 days. If a referred visitor does not subscribe within 15 days of clicking your affiliate link, the referral expires.
  • Refunds cancel commissions: If a referred customer receives a refund, the corresponding commission will be cancelled. This applies to both full and partial refunds.
  • AI credits are excluded: Commissions are not applied to purchases of AI credits. Only subscription payments are eligible for commission.

7. Self-billing arrangement for commission payments

To comply with tax regulations and enable proper commission deduction from our costs, we operate a self-billing (reverse invoicing) arrangement. This means:

  • We issue invoices on your behalf: Dotb will create and issue invoices from you (the affiliate) to Dotb for your earned commissions using the information you provide.
  • Required information: You must provide us with all necessary billing information, including your full legal name or company name, address, and tax identification number (VAT number or equivalent if applicable).
  • Your agreement: By participating in the Program, you authorize Dotb to issue self-billing invoices on your behalf for all commission payments.
  • Copy for your records: We will provide you with a copy of each self-billing invoice for your accounting and tax records.
  • Tax compliance: You remain responsible for declaring and paying any applicable taxes on your commission income according to your local tax laws.

By participating in the Program, you agree to this self-billing arrangement and authorize us to issue invoices on your behalf using the information you provide.

8. Program eligibility: Open to EU, UK, and US residents

Dotb’s Affiliate Program is open to residents of the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (US). Any affiliate accounts registered outside these regions will be rejected.

9. Changes to the Terms of Service

We reserve the right to update or change these Terms of Service at any time. We will provide notice of any changes on our website, and it is your responsibility to review the updated terms and ensure compliance.

By participating in our affiliate program, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to terminate your participation in the Program at any time and for any reason if you violate these terms.
